Join us here at Madrone Hill Ranch for an educationally intensive week, or pick and choose however many of the five days to participate. Ages 9-21 are welcome. Adults are welcome to help out!

Opening Date: June 28, 2014 Closing Date: July 12, 2013 (Application follows)
Cost: $275 for all 5 days / $55/day (plus $10/day for boarding your horse or $5 haul-in fee, limited space)
Tentative schedule (subject to change, including consideration of number of campers):
Sunday: Campers may choose to arrive any time Sunday, get settled in, etc.

Monday morning campers will learn “Salutations to the Sun” (Yoga), then have breakfast. Each morning thereafter, we will start our day with yoga, followed by breakfast. Every evening sometime between 5:00 & 7:00 dinner will be served, after which campers will play games, watch videos, or have classroom style educational activities. Lights out every night between 9:30 & 10:00.

Monday: 10:00-1:00 Dressage clinic with Sonja (MHR’s trainer)
1:00-2:00 Lunch
2:00-5:00 Dressage clinic continues
5:00-7:00 *Demonstrations/Presentations/Lectures

Tuesday: 9:00-1:30 Field Trip &/or *Demonstrations/Presentations/Lectures
 2:30-5:30 20 minute longe lessons on Sonja’s Warmbloods or Sporthorse

Wednesday: Play Day (Games on horseback)
*Demonstrations/Presentations/Lectures

Thursday: 9:00-12:00 Dressage clinic with outside trainer or Sonja
 12:00-1:00 Lunch
1:00-4:00 Dressage clinic with outside trainer or Sonja continues
4:30-6:00 *Demonstrations/Presentations/Lectures

Friday: Ride-a-Test Clinic incorporated into Dressage Schooling Show (outside clinician/judge)

* Demonstrations, presentations or lectures by Equine Body Workers, Vets, Dressage or other types of Equine professionals; demonstrations by Sonja or Art on pressure wrapping legs, polo wraps, splint boots; taking vitals of horses (temp, heart rate, respiration, hydration, capillary refill); discuss identifying injury or illness.
